Holton H-379 Double French Horn with Hard Case and Mouthpiece
This Holton H-379 Double French horn is a solid nickel Kruspe wrap symphonic double horn. All of the valves and slides are working well considering it is 30 years old. There are several scratches and 1 small bend in the bell. The bell is 12 inches and gives this horn a unique and rich sound. The lead pipe has “H-379″ etched near the mouthpiece receiver. Is engraved on the bell. This instrument has a lacquer finish but has several scratches. I was a band director for many years and bought this horn for my daughter. She was in my brass quintet which brought home many superior ratings. I took this horn to a music repair shop to see if it needed anything before I put it up for sale. The owner said “go for it”. Included is the hard shell case that is in good condition. I’ll also throw in the Bach 10 mouthpiece which is not in very good shape. Consider this horn if you’re wanting a good horn for less than half the cost of a new, excellent intermediate horn.
