Islamic Antique Ottoman Persian Khanjar Dagger with Silver Scabbard
First-class antique Ottoman (or possibly Persian) khanjar dagger with unique features. The ox horn handle is enhanced with miscellaneous coins, two of them must be later replacement from 1930´s (as seen on rivets as well), since they are old British three penny coins from the reign of George V. This practice was quite usual that old pieces were later embellished with new gems, coins etc. The steel blade has one large rib in the middle and the scabbard is silver with granulating, the silver sheath is wrapped around wood. Look also on the unique genuine handle in very detailed way. MEASURES: length 40 cm, blade 24 cm.
