The Lid has Beautiful Cream and Brown Colours to it and the Lid is a pull off and push on with a good tight fit which was important to keep Snuff in an Air Tight Box, the Base of the Snuff Box has Darker Colours with lovely Patterns, this would have been owned by someone Wealthy in the Georgian Period and im sure if it could talk would have a lot of Stories to tell, the condition is very good with a mark on the side of the Lid and just a little chip on the Base of the Box, and light surface wear, and is only mentioned for accuracy, this is a Rare and Stunning Georgian Scottish Horn Snuff Box. The silver mounted handles and sleeves are hallmarked sterling silver, Sheffield 1906 with a makers mark for the silversmith. The bladed section is silver plated. The serving knife measures 330mm in length and the fork 250mm. The is in overall very good condition. The silver mounts have a light patina and the odd light mark. This listing is for a lovely antique Sterling Silver shoe horn with large embossed floral design on handle, c. The shoe horn has a two large daisy type flowers in the design in high relief on both sides with small oval cartouche for monogram (unused). Marked “Sterling” on each side of handle. Measures 7″ long and 1 3/8″ wide. The handle is in excellent Estate condition with only normal signs of wear. Shoe horn end has some minor surface scratches from normal use, no other noted flaws.
