Huge tibetan Shell-Horn With Fittings Silver 15 11/16in Long
Large ancient conch shell from Tibet. The conch shell is really big, 40 cm :. I bought this dreamy conch shell from a Tibetan on my journey through Tibet, in Giantse. The conch shell is blown by the Tibetan monks at the beginning of a ceremony. In Buddhism, the shell symbolizes power and strength for the new, it banishes evil. It can be blown if mastered! A customer of mine blew this, it sounds superb compared to other conch shells. The beautiful shell horn is artfully framed in a silver alloy. In the center is a massive double dorje (tibetan vajra). The 8 Tibetan lucky symbols are depicted around the vajra. Beautiful lotus ornaments and Tibetan escort animals have been hammered into the silver! The silver fitting is richly decorated with real stones. Some turquoise and coral were worked into the silver. Dimensions: 40 cm long, 21 cm wide, 12 cm high when lying down Weight 1.4 kg. Dimensions: 40 cm long, 21 cm wide, 1. This item is in the category “Antiques\Asian Antiques\Other Asian Antiques”. The seller is “mt_kailash” and is located in this country: DE.
