RARE Vintage Sterling Silver 1910 Governor’s Cup Golf Trophy with Horn Handles
This phenomenal 1910 Governor’s Cup Golf Trophy was won by Dr. Claude Wilkes Trapp, an eye doctor from Kentucky. A fascinating Renaissance man he collected First Edition books, Jade, etc. His golf strategy was to play 18 holes with one club only, a seven iron. Clearly he was successful. The beautiful engraving reads.. The Governor’s Cup. It is sterling silver and weighs 223 Grams. It is 10″ Tall x 10.5″ wide. Base is 4.5″ wide; top of goblet is 6″ wide.
