Painted Stag Horn Handle. Custom knives were created by Bob and Christy Schopp of Helena Montana from the 1970’s up until the 2000’s. This blade bears the iconic rattlesnake wrapped around the BSC initials. This classic trailing point blade is approximately 4.75 inches and the knife is 10 inches overall. A very tiny piece of the tip of the blade is chipped. (see close up picture). Bob Schopp, A Vietnam War Combat veteran, began making knives in the late 1970’s. He collaborated with his wife, Christy a well known tattoo Artist. Knives The Schopps made custom knives until Bob’s death in 2001. Collaborated with other local craftsmen and artists to create an extensive variety of knives. The horn handle has been hand painted by noted wildlife artist Tammy Strum also of Helena, Montana. Tammy Lee Strum passed away in Helena, Montana on Feb. 1, 2016 at the age of 57. Her works of art are quite collectible. Contact me with any questions or additional photos.
