Jean Baptiste JTP-680S Silver Plated Trumpet, with Case and MP Bore. Horn is playing very nice, perfect 1st and 3rd slide action, valves feel awesome. It appears Jean Baptiste has abandoned the Intermediate level horns it was making like this one. Now the 483LE is their only offering and they are made in China. Far superior build on this horn, very sturdy. Plating is 95% with wear in the hand hold area, main bell to leadpipe brace has been resoldered. I don’t have a silver 3rd slide finger ring that fits, but I did find a brass ring and screw that fit perfectly and the action on the 3rd slide is perfect. Comes with a Protec Gig Bag that has seen some use and has some separation at the ends, zippers and case are very solid otherwise, comes with a 7C Mouthpiece. All horns are soaked in an organic green solution, power brushed, hand brushed, and rinsed. Valve chambers polished, top and bottom, valve components soaked, detailed and rinsed, and all small parts cleaned. Needed solder work completed, dents and most dings removed, valves lapped, cap threads inspected and trued, slides detailed, dry horn and components are scrubbed clean, hot water rinsed thoroughly, pads and springs changed when needed, valves aligned, lubed, oiled, hand polished, cases disinfected and vacuumed and horn is play tested. Refurbished horns must be cleaned after the first month of playing and should be cleaned after your first practice session and all the oils and lube should be removed and modified to what you like to use. I use Al Cass Fast on ALL my valves, and Space Filler on 3rd on 1st slideswith finger hooks, rings and triggers. I will offer full consideration on any parts or horns that are listed improperly.
