A well assembled Tibetan top of a prayer wheel. The wheel itself is carved from Yak horn and stuffed with. A long Tibetan prayer scroll. The sides are carved with Buddhas and Tibetan Lanta script. One end is carved with a double Vajra and the other end is carved with an 8 Spoke Wheel. The double Vajra is used as a symbol to promote concentraion and meditation. The 8 Spoke Wheel represents the 8 parts of the Dharma, the 8 parts to wisdom and the end of suffering. The top of the wheel is capped with silver and the chain and weight are also of silver. Large Cast German Silver Horse Head Pommel with Bronze Finish. 7-1/2 Total Hilt Length. 11-1/2 Leather Scabbard with Coin Silver Tip and Throat. 19 Total Length when sheathed. Condition: Good overall condition. The thick blade has developed a patina, but has very little pitting throughout and some small areas of oxidation near the guard. The blade also shows some mild scratching. The German silver guard is a bit loose, and shows some mild nicks and scratches. The large staghorn grip has some discoloration near the ends, and some mild scratching. The horse head pommel has a verdigris patina, and shows some mild scratching and a slight dent on the very top. The sheath shows some moderate staining and wear to the leather, but the leather remains supple. The coin silver tip and throat show some moderate tarnish, scratching, and a few small dents.
