I’ve played this guy through college bands and orchestras as well as local community bands. While I love this horn, Covid has caused financial difficulties and I’m looking to get back on my feet. Hopefully I’ll be able to get and Alexander horn when all this is said and done! While this horn has been used for many years, I have kept it in excellent condition. I recently cleaned the horn, however there is a little tarnish on the valves and chips to the lacquer (most notably towards the bell); these are minor cosmetic defects and do not affect playability. This is NOT an Elkhart Model! Included with the horn is a Laskey 70G European shank (these are currently out of production). The Conn 8D has a hybrid leadpipe, so it can take American or European shank sizes; I just prefer the European. The Clebsch handstrap is also included, along with the case. The case has a broken zipper and heavy wear on the handles, but it still functions nonetheless! I have also included a Holton Farkas mouthpiece and two of my favorite method books. I did not include these in the pricing (they’re free). If I’m getting rid of the horn, these items should go with it regardless.
