For sale is this. Handsome antique sterling silver and steel shoe horn. The repousse filled handle is hallmarked for London 1900, maker William Comyns and Sons. The chased handle has the usual devil masks and birds on it. The horn itself is stamped with the word’steel’. This solid shoe horn weighs about 156 grams in total and is about 10 inches in length. The large staghorn grip has some discoloration near the ends, and some mild scratching. The horse head pommel has a verdigris patina, and shows some mild scratching and a slight dent on the very top. The sheath shows some moderate staining and wear to the leather, but the leather remains supple. The coin silver tip and throat show some moderate tarnish, scratching, and a few small dents.
