RARE GEORGIAN SOLID SILVER WITH SCOTTISH THISTLE SNUFF MULL HORN c1800
PLEASE BROWSE MY ITEMS AND HOPEFULLY THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY. RARE GEORGIAN SOLID SILVER WITH SCOTTISH THISTLE SNUFF MULL HORN. This is a Georgian Solid Silver Scottish Snuff Mull Horn, this i believe to have been crafted c1800 making it around 218 years old, this isnt Hallmarked but that isnt unusual for these Scottish Snuff Horns of this Period but the Thistle on the Lid does test for Solid Silver but the Collar could be a Base Metal, this really is a Stunning Snuff Horn with the most Beautiful Colours on the Horn of Light Brown and Darker Brown, and the Horn has a lovely Curl at the End. It has a White Metal Mount to the Neck, with a nice Silver Thistle design on the Lid, the Lid does have a curve to it and the Cork to the underneath might not be Original and has wear to the Cork, the Hinge is Strong and the Lid closes nice and tight but because of the Curve in the Lid is not Flush and a little mis aligned and looks like there might be an old repair on the hinge to the collar, This would have been owned by someone Wealthy in the Georgian Period and this Snuff Horn would have meant something special in the Family Clan in Scotland, this really is an important piece of History, condition is good on the Horn and the Silver with tarnish on the Collar and on the Thistle, this would make a lovely gift. Gorgeous Silver plated Blessing Super Artist Pro Cornet (trumpet). Clifford Brown, and Louis Armstrong, two of the best and most innovative trumpet players ever, both played Blessing Super-Artist cornets. Everything functions excellently – Valves and slides very smooth and show very little wear. This vintage Cornet dates from 1947, among the glory days for these instruments. This is the real deal — with the original style hexagonal stop nuts and under-slung third-valve ring. Thoroughly cleaned and overhauled. All original vintage instrument with newer, beautiful silver plating which is 99.99% and gold inside of the bell. This is a great playing, virtually new looking, top-quality Pro Horn. Serial numbers on valves match trumpet. Complete with a case in excellent condition (other than some tarnish on the latches, it’s virtually flawless). Vintage Chinese hand carved snuff bottle, believe ox or yak horn or some hard mineral or stone – not sure; Comes with a carved wood base and the stopper has a red stone set on the top and believe set in silver frame and think spoon is also silver – untested. The bottle weighs 53.6 grams, the stand is 18.5 grams. Some minor damage around top opening as shown. Design carved is dragon motif. As found, as is due to age. GOOD YAMAHA YHR302M MARCHING FRENCH HORN IN Bb with CASE & MOUTHPIECE
Good marching French horn in Bb by YAMAHA, model YHR302M. The 302M Marching French Horn features a. 472 inch bore with a well balanced design to alleviate strain on the player. Heavy duty bracing at critical structural points adds durability for use on the field. The mouthpiece receiver accepts a standard French horn mouthpiece. The instrument is in the KEY OF Bb. There is no evidence of any major damage to the instrument, but our shop has removed minor dents and dings. There is a small patch on the front branch, but no other patches or thin spots and no red-rot in the mouthpipe The original lacquer finish is worn maybe 10%. In spite of a few scratches and speckles the original lacquer finish actually looks very presentable and should protect the brass for many years. The valve pistons are in very good condition with no worn spots to the nickel plating. The valves are tight, with good compression. Valve action is fast and quiet. Mouthpiece (not in the photos) and good original case are included. We have several nearly identical instruments. Thanks for looking at our listing.
