Silver and Brass Music Shop is a brick-and-mortar brass instrument restoration and repair shop located in Carson City, NV. This is a serial number. Conn 8DRS Double French Horn. The 8D is Conn’s large bore professional symphony double horn, and is usually built from solid nickel silver in a Kruspe wrap style. This horn is the 8DRS variant, and has a bell, 1st branch, and leadpipe all of which are made from rose brass for a warmer, fuller tone. This horn also features a screw-bell configuration, so the bell is detachable for easy storage. The valves move well with like-new compression and the slides all move of course. As for the aesthetic condition of this horn, t. Here are a few miniscule dings on the inner wrap as well as a few light scratches. The bell engraving reads: C. / CONN/ 8D/ Made in/ U. The minor imperfections are visible in the pictures, and none of them affect the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This horn is not lacquered; therefore fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wished for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now; if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina. This instrument comes with a new ProTec ProPac screw bell case, and a mouthpiece in good condition. How the horn plays. Full, warm and dark sound with a smooth, rich, and colorful tone. The horn is responsive, open, and well-balanced. The horn is capable of playing a wide dynamic range with a round, full, and powerful quality. The horn does not break up or become brassy at extreme volumes but is also capable of playing very softly while maintaining its fullness. All registers of the horn speak well and play fluidly. The Bb and F side timbres and intonation match well, with the Bb side having a slightly brighter quality on a few notes. All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop. 68 1968 67 69 Camaro Steering Wheel Oe Good Used With Horn Button Driver Quality
Estate find 15 inch Oe 1968 CAMARO steering wheel. It had a soft cover wrap on it for decades stuck to the hoop in places. I removed the wrap to check the hoop for cracks. I didnt see any cracks anywhere on the 15 inch outer hoop ring but possible I missed I actually used my reading glasses to inspect very close. There are normal hairline cracks at both ends of the 3 spokes. Like 1 hairline crack each end of the spokes. You should be able to view all cracks in the pictures. The center trim and horn button are in good driver quality. The horn button is attached but not springy. Im sure there is something missing inside there. Overall just a good steering for a minor restoration. Sand and paint for driver quality. I just washed it off a little in a shop sink with a sponge and dishwashing liquid and hot water! ELECTRICAL ITEMS MUST BE INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL. Just a side note to all shopping for a switch or switch sets for their antique car, hot rod, race car or truck build. I only sell quality parts. Most knobs fit most switch I sell but their is some that don’t work out very well. If you like a certain knob, just ask if it will fit the switch your interested in. Most knobs have to be fitted to each switch. I will not sell anything I would not use on my cars.
