Frank Holton Cornet, US Army Band horn, Model 29, Serial No. Excellent condition for its age. VERY MINOR dent on bell and on a slide. These are hardly noticeable. The third valve throw fell off in the military and was never replaced. Case in good condition. I have owned and played this horn professionally for several years. It has an outstanding mellow cornet sound throughout all registers. Perfect for small groups. It’s super easy to play and slots very well with little effort. Plays excellent in tune. Valves are tight and do not leak air. All slides work easily, has great compression. Plating is near perfect; I’d say 95%. The horn was produced for military bands by Holton. I acquired this horn from its original owner, a former soloist with the US Army Band. He kept this horn after leaving the military.
