Wichita Band Instrument Company. Holton model H-281; serial number #471681 (made in early 1970’s). The horn has 90% original lacquer finish with nickel-silver mouthpipe and a detachable gold brass bell. This one is an early H-281 that’s never been school-owned and has come to us in very good original condition; original valves are still tight. It is a good player and not expensive! It comes with an original case that is perfect. The H-281 is the Holton model that was the basis for Barry Tuckwell’s H-104/ H-105. This one looks and plays like new! Wichita Band Instrument Company is a small musical instrument emporium located in the center of the USA. The owners are Kansas natives Gary L. Ray and his two sons. Founded by a woodwind repair technician in 1953, we soon will commence our seventy-first year in business.
