Hand forged dirk style steel blade, looks like some maker’s mark near the cross guard. The handle is polished animal horn (I have no idea what manner of beast, but it is smooth and beautiful), the fittings I was told are silver. The cross guard is steel. The scabbard is a new creation but the previous owner told me the blade dates back to the 19th century. I have no reason to doubt that as the quality is awesome. Feels great in the hand, and looks like it would do some serious business in a hurry. Edge is is moderately sharp. I have never put it to a stone, so that will be the new owner’s joy. This blade would be right at home on the frontier, in the field, or in your boot as you roll your war rig across the highways of the Wasteland that is post-industrial America. A nice quality antique Yemen Arab jambiya. Silver mounts exquisitely decorated with filigree and beading. The dagger with traditional curved steel blade with central rib. The belt front woven with metallic silver wire, and adorned with several further silver mounts and containers. Handle made of Horn. Dating to the 20th century. Middle Eastern Yemeni Jambiya, which is the name for the Arabic dagger. Comes with a very thick hand embroidered belt with intricate designs and ornate with brass hammered element with calligraphy scripts.
