It is decorated with mother of pearl, abalone, silver and a gilt metal (very likely gold) inlay but a little is missing although could be replaced but it is ok as it is! The foliage decor around the edge is a lovely addition. When held to the light is is see through and the ridge on the reverse has always been there, the original clasp has been screwed on over this! The clasp and pin are in good working order and there is as expected wear!
