CF Boston Stencil Horn Silver F Mellophone Ser#132166 with Eb & D Attachments. Instrument Condition: The overall physical condition of this used instrument is. Some dents and dings. This instrument is currently in. It has approximately 80-85% of the silver finish but it is tough to tell with the tarnish. We polished up part of the bell around the engraving and it cleaned off very easily (see pics). Medium general wear (visible surface scratches and wear and/or small-medium dents and dings). All the valves are in good working condition and all of the tuning slides are loose. Tuning Slide Info: This mello comes with its standard F tuning slide as well as the Eb attachment tuning slide and two extenders to make it D. Lead Pipe Condition: Medium general wear (visible surface scratches and wear and/or small-medium dents and dings) it has 4 or 5 metal patches (see pics). Back Bell Bow Condition. Has a light dent in the back bell bow with a small ding (See Pics). Minor dents and dings and minor bell. There are 4 or 5 metal patches on the lead pipe (see pics). There is also one metal patch on the wrap (see pics). No Mouthpiece is included, or other accessories. The Stand: If pictured, not included. Older Used Condition (Still usable but significant signs of physical wear) very very slight funk to it. Boston Made in Elkhart-Ind. USA (on the bell). Additional Info: This is a neat vintage mellophone! All of the tuning slides are loose which is cool because with all the extra tuning slides and extenders you can play in F, Eb or D. There are multiple metal patch spots so please see pictures. The horn plays well and should clean up nicely if you want to polish it up. We took a minute to polish up around the engraving on the bell and it came off easily. These types of mellophones are really cool vintage horns!
