The silver is unhallmarked, as was usual, but it tests for sterling silver. The piece is 3.5 inches (9 cm) long by 1.5 inches (3.5 cm) wide and 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall. The cover has a diameter of 1.5 inches (3.5 cm). It weighs 53 grams. The condition of the piece is very good for its age. The horn has only a small crack near the hinge. The original cork is present.
