As a note, one of things I find the most difficult transition to the C trumpet is it’s SO close to the B-flat, but not their. It’s very hard to think to the center of the tone. There’s also a great tendency to overblow the horn. I even find an E-flat easier since it’s further off. So play this horn lightly until comfortable. Give it it’s own fair shares of drills and exercises. Especially don’t just show up to an orchestral rehearsal with a freshly acquired C and try playing it cold in front of people.
