About the Horn This is a well-cared for professional Conn 8DRS rose brassdetachable bell double French horn, with nickel body and slides. There are nomajor dents, but there are a few minor dents and scratches consistent with use, and a some spots of lacquer wear. It has good compression and all valves andslides move freely. It recently had a professional ultrasonic cleaning andplays very well. It is great for student or professional use as it offers theflexibility and projection a horn player needs to succeed at all levels. Thetraditional large throat bell and larger bore lead pipe gives it a dark richtone that fits well with any playing style. The detachable bell makes traveland transport more convenient. Two water keys have been installed on the twomain tuning slides. A duck foot was added to the hand grip for better supportwhile playing. About the Case Included is a used, acceptable condition black Marcus BonnaMB-1 screw bell case. Made by hand in a Brazil, Marcus Bonna cases are amongthe most popular by horn players of all levels. The MB1 has a zipper enclosureand a soft cloth interior over forgiving foam. The shell is made of moldedfiberglass. Outside you will find a small zipper music pouch on the back, andon the top is another triangular shaped zipper pouch. The pouches are great forcarrying lubricants, mouthpieces, music, repair kits, etc. It has some wear andtear but is still very intact and usable.
