Italian 925 VERMEIL chain NECKLACE. Fabulous from early to mid-20th Century, as per the estate it was in… The pendant could be even earlier. This she brought back from. Italy, with Italian quality. This is genuine antique coral, shaped and polished, now with a low soft shine that comes with age and use. It is the prettiest pink-orange color with little spots of white that were naturally part of the sea coral. The artisan fashioned it so it can be worn with the solid color on one side, and the spotted side on the other. In the graceful Italian Horn shape, with all the significance and meaning (scroll down below for more info) to provide the wearer with good luck and happiness!! In Italy, called a. “Cornicello” (meaning little horn, or hornlet), or a “cornetto, ” or simply corno. Fine gold wire bale (unmarked, but likely 10K guesstimate only) — very Victorian style bale. Pretty, fine box link chain gleams, its so shiny, seems hardly worn — we cannot say for sure that it is original to the pendant, but is perfect with it. Clasp marked ITALY / S925.
